MS Word Error “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font"

Are you suffering from an error message saying “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.” This error message is very irritating and in some cases the message exactly describes the problem, but this error may appear even when your computer has plenty of RAM and hard drive space available. 


Some fixes are given below; apply them carefully in order to fix this issue:

Checking Available Memory

Before applying any drastic solution, first confirm that your system have sufficient memory and disk space. Press "Windows-E" to open the Computer window, this will show the free space on your drive. If the bar shows your drive's used space appears in red, your drive is almost full. Erase unnecessary files to grab some space. 

Resetting Word's Registry Entries

By resetting MS Word related registry key may help you to get rid of this error.  By repairing the affected registry keys may resolve the problem, but improper editing the registry can affect your entire computer.
Press Open registry editor Window, press "Windows-R," to open run dialogue box type "regedit" and hit "Enter." 

Now in registry editor navigate to the folder list, and go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Word, where "xx" will display your version of Word.
Right-click on the "Data" folder and pick "Export" to save a backup of your current settings.
Again right click on the folder and choose "Delete."
 
Open the Word file to confirm that the problem is fixed or not. 

If problem is still available, then double-click on the backup that you exported to recover the settings and run the same process with the "Options" folder.
